Next Saturday, March 5, Free the Slaves Deputy Communications Director Terry Fitzpatrick will be speaking at the Seaside Center for Spiritual Living in Encinitas, California as part of their Season of Non-Violence. Terry—an award-winning filmmaker who is also the producer behind many of Free the Slaves’ videos—will talk about the heroes of the anti-slavery movement: former slaves who now risk their lives to help others to freedom. He will screen stories of hope from the frontlines of slavery, and discuss how courageous abolitionists are winning the battle against different types of slavery in the U.S. and around the world.
