Today is National Human Trafficking Awareness Day in the United States, a key part of Trafficking Prevention Month. There are three simple things you can do right now to spread awareness that slavery still exists. It will only take one minute. Literally.

  1. Share the Facts: See our Trafficking and Slavery Fact Sheet. Copy the link and email it to friends, co-workers, neighbors or relatives. It will help them learn that tens of millions are enslaved today, that most of them are women and girls, and one in four are children. The link also outlines how Free the Slaves liberates people every day.
  1. Build the Movement: Visit us on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter or LinkedIn, like our page and share a recent post. That way, you and your social media network can stay in touch with the latest liberation news from the front lines and our vital advocacy campaigns.
  1. Shop Freedom: Browse the Free the Slaves Fashion for Freedom online store. Everything there has been ethically produced. Use your purchasing power to end modern slavery, and share the link.

Awareness alone won’t end slavery. But awareness leads to action. And that leads to freedom.

Visit our How to Take Action webpage for many other ways you can spread awareness.

The simplest and quickest thing you can do is to share this blog post! Use the tabs on the left (desktop) or scroll down to the bottom (mobile).

Thanks.

Can you help end the conditions that cause modern slavery?
