Unable to safely gather in person in large numbers, many of us will turn to Zoom and other digital platforms for Passover Seders.
The Free the Slaves Passover Project has produced a unique video to help deepen the experience of this year’s online and hybrid gatherings. The five-minute video includes slavery survivors from around the world describing, in their own words, the brutality of slavery today. It also offers hope for eradicating slavery by enlisting the involvement of the Jewish community, “who know the soul of a stranger, having been strangers in the Land of Egypt” (Exodus 23:9).

I introduce and close the video. I hope that you will spread the word about this remarkable new resource. It is perfect for Zoom Seders and for discussions about Passover, Exodus, and Jewish values.
More resource materials from the Passover Project for year-round Jewish education about modern slavery are available at FreeTheSlaves.net/Judaism.
There is no better time than z’man cheruteynu, the Season of our Liberation, to help others be free. Toda.
