Collecting better data on slavery, developing standards for services to slavery survivors, creating a platform for U.S. presidential candidates to support, and leveraging the inclusion of slavery in the United Nations sustainable development goals.
These four critical themes for strengthening the anti-slavery movement were front and center as 38 leaders from 36 organizations across the globe convened at Stanford University last October for the third annual Freedom from Slavery Forum.
The ongoing mission of the forum is to increase the collective impact of anti-slavery organizations. Key leaders convene to share best practices, lessons learned and new ideas – as well as to build relationships across organizations.
The gathering’s in-depth report is now available on the Free the Slaves website. Free the Slaves serves as the forum secretariat.
